ABOUT ME
I am a travel & audit professional with a passion for fiber arts based in Mumbai, India. I am an experienced Crochet pattern tester, Crochet technical editor, pattern writer, grader & sample maker. I also have my own self run crochet Brand “Amore” wherein I take on customized orders of crochet apparels & accessories for Babies, Kids & Adults.
I am experienced in a wide variety of crochet techniques including Textured patterns , Tapestry. I have worked on easy to advanced level projects ranging from baby clothes to shawls, doilies, hats and complex garments, both seamed and seamless.
TRAINING
My background in post graduate-level Mathematics, Accounting & Financial Management And a past career in Auditing & Marketing Research led me to approach crochet patterns with the same analytic eye, and led me to pursue a career in technical editing. I have done an advanced course in MS Office thus giving me an ease to work in Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat & PowerPoint. I have also worked with Google Docs, Canva , Asana & Box applications.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Guinness World Record Holder for ‘The Largest Crochet Blanket in the World’ (Jan 2016) by a participating group (MICQ).
EXPERIENCE
I have worked with indie designers with varying levels of experience . To date, I have tested hundreds of patterns and am an experienced Technical Editor as well. (Do have a look at my Technical Editing, Pattern Writing & Sampling Portfolios to have an idea of the patterns I’ve tech edited, written & sample made so far). I bring to you over a decade of relevant experience in advanced math, data visualization, auditing & report writing. My edits go well beyond fixing typos and inconsistencies: I will help you say what you want to say in the simplest and most effective way. I am always around to provide support before, during & after pattern production as well. I also help in the promoting of your designs over various forms of social media.
